To be intellectual means to be prepared for the future. The academy is supportive by providing resources needed to excel in an assortment of skills such as networking, team-building, and time management. The International Trade Academy assists students to become bright young adults and strong leaders for their school and community. In addition, students learn how to work efficiently and in a timely manner to prove the importance of great work ethic skills. Being intellectual highlights a goal-orientated character; a spirit to overcome challenges and reach new milestones. ITA invites you to step out of your comfort zone and thrive in trying new things that will benefit you not only in school but in real-world situations.
As a member of ITA, you will be able to plan and coordinate academy events that will help you get involved and develop confidence, allowing the spirit of the academy to shine through you. With ITA you will take initiative in academy activities and banquets. It will help you become aware and exposed to new opportunities that will give you a chance to show what you have to offer. The stage is set for you to display your best creative qualities, and reach your full potential.

Be Active
To be active means to participate in multiple events ITA has to offer and to network with peers, business partners, school officials, and community members. ITA engages in business competitions, job shadows, and college campus tours. The ITEP internship is a great example of how stepping into the workforce can bring about a new understanding of how to conduct yourself in a working environment. Being a part of ITA also means participating in business competitions where critical thinking is needed and allowing you to strengthen and develop your skills. These events are a way to practice your networking skills with people you may not know, which further emphasizes the importance of being active. That is why ITA is best for you; it puts you in control of your own future, and the opportunities that open up are endless.
